Antoine has always been looking for deep and meaningful experiences in life to grow. This quest brought him out West 10 years ago to learn English and plant trees in the backcountry of British Columbia to support his tuition fees and his thirst for traveling. Antoine's spiritual journey took him through a variety of experiences before finding yoga as a discipline. He cycled on his own through continents for years that took him from the highest pass of Tibet all the way back to the roots of his home in Quebec. Whether passing by meditation in a Vipassana center on the shore of the Indian Ocean or committing himself to a new vertical horizon of rock or ice climbing, Antoine is committed to live in the moment and enjoy the inner quest. Through his life journey, he found yoga in 2008 in Edmonton. Nothing else seemed to make more sense in his life than a practice to be conscious and fully present on and off the mat. Over time, through life changes and challenges, he found that a committed practice makes him feel calmer, stronger, steadier and more capable. Once we begin to cultivate love and compassion for ourselves, we extend it more easily to others.
A unique approach
Antoine has always been looking for deep and meaningful experiences in life to grow. He approaches the practice, in all of its manifestations, as a method for investigating the complex question of consciousness that seems to be at the root of all questions. Antoine is committed to live in the moment and enjoy the inner quest. He likes to create an atmosphere of self- reflection with philosophy. The physical exploration through the asanas, is ideally a place where we can all progress on the path of liberation. He encourages his students to experience and feel how the practice reshape their original body and mental. Mediation of attention and intention is the ultimate goal of his teaching. From the mat, he tries to expose his students to the infinite potential that lies in each of them to become the best version of themselves. Once we begin to cultivate love and compassion for ourselves, we extend it more easily to others.
Wear and tear, injuries, pain and discomfort have been the perfect catalyst for Antoine to explore his own ability to heal. He walks the talk and teach what work for him to live a life free and healthy. He studies yoga since 2008. He received his E-RYT-500 and YACEP certifications from Yoga Alliance and graduated from the Yoga Therapy program at Mount Royal University in Calgary. Antoine has facilitated 200hrs Teacher Training Course, 100 hrs Alignment & Restorative Training, yoga retreats and workshops in Canada, USA, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Bali, Thailand and Malaysia.
